We have Sydney's best discount unity candles. The Unity Candle Lighting Ceremony can happen towards the end of the Ceremony or at the reception before the cake-cutting. The ceremony is a popular choice for both religious and non-religious ceremonies representing two lives coming together.

A Unity Candle set consists of (1) 2 slender candles (called tapers), (2) a large centre candle and (3) optionally two family candles which are usually white. Instead of using family candles, tea candles may also be used.

The two tapers represent your individual lives before the wedding day. They represent all that you are from your vast experiences and your individual families.

During the ceremony, the parents of the bride lights the taper from the family candles or the tea candle signifying that they have given life to the bride, and the same happens with the groom's parents. The parents then pass the taper to their son/daughter representing that they are now grown up and a new life will start tonight.

The groom and the bride then holds their respective candle which they use to light the unity candle which represents their lives together. The bride then blows the groom's candle and the groom blows the bride's candle representing that their individual lives have come to an end and they will now share a new life together.

Just like how every single person is different, the candle has a life of its own and names are printed on the top with a pattern of your choosing. Your wedding vow, bible verse or a poem is also printed at the back because this is the basis of the marriage.

Standard Text

Tapers: (1) One should say the name of the bride (with or without first name) and (2) the other the groom
Centre Pillar: (1) First names of bride and groom, (2) Date of wedding (as you would want it to appear)
Back of Pillar: Vow or bible passage that would become the basis of your marriage. Here are some examples:

Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13).
This day I will marry my friend; the one I laugh with, live for, dream with, love.
To have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish till death do us part.
