WHAT WE REALLY THINK ABOUT THIS VENUE
Think well-regarded internationally recognised hotel brands and the name Hilton will certainly come up next to all the premier properties, with the food and service to match. However, you would rarely hear of your friends getting married at the Hilton, and it is because this venue has not pursued the wedding market as aggressively as many others. This makes Hilton one of our hidden gem venues particularly for larger functions, and rather than being forced into fixed pre-defined wedding packages that have "luxury inclusions" that they think you might need, Hilton has existing wedding packages but gives you much greater flexibility to create what you actually need. The events team is efficient, professional and polished, and our clients have found that the best outcomes arise when couples are represented by experienced wedding planners who can communicate well with the in-house team, and can work out the best flexible arrangements ahead of time. Flexibility can sometimes work against you if not done right, which is why wedding-oriented venues tend to avoid customisation. After entering the impressive white marble lobby with high ceilings, you will discover that Hilton has a number of spaces to suit events of many sizes, with the main ballroom being able to accommodate as many as 600 guests comfortably. Multiple function rooms can be split into smaller spaces for flexibility. We rate the food very highly, consistent with the expectations of the brand and above the expectations of similar venues in the same price range.

OUR TIPS FOR THIS VENUE
* Flexibility on seasons, dates, lunch/dinner can substantially impact on final budget.
* This is a premium locality, it is particularly important to consider full plans before booking and make generous allowances for incidentals, some incidental fees may be substantially higher than expectation
* For larger hotel ballroom events generally: styling, production, staging and effects can be major contributors to budget blowouts, professional wedding planners can assist with pre-event estimations
* There may be some Event Weddings recommended Contract notes and additions for this venue before booking.
* Always allow for a 10-15% buffer for incidentals
