WHAT WE REALLY THINK ABOUT THIS VENUE
Sofitel Darling Harbour is a premium five Star hotel located at the beautiful Darling Harbour. This venue is an important landmark in Sydney and has a strong reputation as a high quality event venue. As a hotel located in one of the most picturesque locations in the city, Sofitel offers the convenience of being able to do preparation, ceremony, reception and location shoot all within the same location. Compared to other equivalent ballrooms within its class which are often bigger and attracts higher minimum spending rates, the Sofitel ballroom is medium sized with our recommended maximum capacity at around 250. Accordingly minimum spending can be reached for as low as 120pax, making this a grand ballroom that is more achievable for medium sized events, and also making it easier to keep styling budgets under control. For smaller events, the on-site restaurant has a private room suitable for up to 50 guests. Sofitel is efficient, polished and professional. The menu is French inspired, and the quality of food is consistent with expectations for a five star hotel within this price range.
