Having hosted over 1000 weddings since 2011, Sy and Ivy is Sydney's most experienced MC team. Our couples benefit from the collective experience of all these events, putting you in the safest of hands.

We host our events in English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin) to ensure that all your guests all feel welcome and can be engaged in all the formalities. In addition to this, our MCs are also highly experienced in organising Chinese tea ceremonies and SE Asian betrothal gifts ceremony.


Professional Plus because we're more than professional! For us, wedding MCing isn't a just side gig for us, but we are wedding planners first, making our MC service the best when it comes to planning and coordination.

On the wedding day, it is our job to be the central point of contact, we are the ones that make everything run and it is our job to make sure everyone knows everything before any happens. This includes the coordination of the bridal party, all guests, suppliers and the venue. As wedding planners that operate a one-stop-shop, we know what each supplier needs to get their work done professionally. We put in special effort to make sure that we balance the needs of all crew including externals. Additionally, we are experts in helping you keep things under control through superior hosting skills and planning.

We will help you draft the best colour-coded runsheet which is easy to follow (no more massive excel files), which takes into consideration at the outset the requirements and the needs of all your suppliers. It is a clean and easy to read, it fits in your pocket and has all the information you need about what's happening on the day, including contact details of all important people!

Professional planning is essential for an event to run smoothly. An important reason why we deliver superior MC services where an event is well run is because we are wedding planners first. With a background in TV and radio, where the audience has a remote or can change the dial at any time, we have a special recipe to keep guests engaged through very well tested mood flow and risk aversion strategies. After planning over 1000 events, there are few things we haven't seen or haven't tried, we know what works and what doesn't work, how people respond to things, and how to keep the event under control. These things do not happen by accident, but through superior planning strategies.

Our team is from a media background with years of experience in Australian national live broadcast TV and radio. This makes us master Master of Ceremonies on stage with the ability to host in a creative, fun and interactive way in both English and in Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin). We are conscious about what annoys a crowd which we avoid, what appeals to the audience and what is the best time to do these things. We also have superior knowledge and experience in cultural ceremonies such as Tea Ceremony and SE Asian betrothal gifts ceremony.

Our superior MC Service from Sy Chung or Ivy Leung is Event Wedding's most demanded flagship service. For specific MC choice, stand-alone MC service may be limited for weekends and high seasons, and/or minimum spending or packages may apply. Events on a package has priority for MC choice.

We were truly lucky that we have come across Sy Chung from Event Weddings whom has made our wedding day as seamless and smooth as it could be.
