As wedding planners, our job is to guide you along your wedding planning journey through experience that we have collected from 1000 weddings that came before you. In this meeting, our first step is to understand your needs and requirements, and your goals and priorities for your wedding day. Based on the information you present to us, we can then advise about what your wedding should look like, and what you need to prepare to make this happen.

At your early stages of wedding planning if you are to visualise your wedding day, it is like looking out a window on a foggy day. You can make out a few things, but you don't know how to get there. One of the main goals of the Wedding Planning Trial is to defog your Wedding Planning vision and help you see into the future, where we can help you hit pause, zoom in and enhance, and show you what's under the hood and what happens behind the scenes. As we explain on a hourly basis what happens at each important time point, we may also share with you some previous experiences, what to pay attention to, what might be some risk factors, and potentially some tips and advice for your particular event based on the previous experience of over a thousand couples. So the next question is: who is going to do all these things?

CASE STUDY 1: A couple was about to book their photographer & videographer for a 14 hour package just the day after. But after going through the timings, they found out that they only needed 8 hours, saving them $4000 immediately.

CASE STUDY 2: A conscientious couple spent several weeks making calls to all suppliers and compared their own wedding with friends and put together a great runsheet factoring all the details. When we saw them, we wrote a very similar (slightly better!) runsheet within 15 minutes, and also made some important corrections and improvements.

After we have defogged your wedding day vision and know what you're intending to do on the wedding day, we are now ready to run through a full check list of all services that you might require based on your event, and based on your location. One of the biggest stresses in wedding planning are last minute additions that were not accounted for in the earlier stages of planning, and in many cases couples turn up to their wedding day thinking something is included but is not. We will help you run through key important services that you need to conside

After knowing all the services that you may require for your wedding, we will now review your budget to see whether your expected spending matches with your requirements. If your budget is just right, that's fantastic.

If your budget is not enough, then our job is to identify aspects of your wedding that is putting you overbudget and then give you ideas about where you can potentially cut things down but can achieve similar results, such as get 80% of the result for 30% of the price in some cases; or potential areas to make compromises.

If your budget is higher, then great you would be making some good savings! However, if you don't mind spending more of the budget we will have plenty of ideas to help you make things even better.

The Wedding Planning Trial is not a sales session, so we are not here to sell you a package but to help you begin your wedding planning journey. However, if what we do is suitable for you, we will present to you upon request a proposal of the services that we can provide for you and the corresponding price. It will be a detailed list of services and description, and you will receive a copy at the end of the meeting.

The Wedding Planning Trial is a trial service and an informal chat and is not part of any official service supplied by Event Weddings. There is no fee, and no consideration.

This service may also serve as a trial service for both parties to see if we are suitable for each other in any subsequent engagements. This works both ways - for the clients to see if we are suitable for them and vice versa. Choosing a wedding planner is not unlike choosing a partner, it is not like baking a cake or making a bouquet. Our work is relationship-based where it is important that visions and values align with a very important element of trust. Relationship breakdowns in wedding planning makes things very difficult as we are working with a deadline, so clients cannot change planners half way and start again, and that means they need to put up with someone they don't like on the wedding day and vice versa. This is obviously not good for anybody. Due to our experience in over 1000 weddings, working with many types of clients and types of events, we are very conscious of situations when there may be potential risks such as personality clashes, events that we are not familiar with, situations where visions and values do not align, as well as other factors. This is why a full wedding planning trial is so important for us to get to know each other. We also want to make this time worthwhile for you as well that is why we make this a real service that we hope you find suitable. Event Weddings retains the right to accept or reject projects at will without needing to provide a reason, and clients may also choose or not choose our services without providing a reason.

Further to this, we also require this meeting to take place in person rather than over video call unless it is not possible. Also like finding a suitable partner, meeting someone online gives you something to start with, but you don't feel the vibe until you meet in person for the first time. Choosing a wedding planner that you have to put your trust in for your big day is an important decision for you and also for us as well. You wouldn't want a wedding planner who couldn't see you in person, and  as this is a partnership, this works the other way around as well!

This service is a standalone from all our other services. By attending this meeting, the client acknowledges and accepts that no date is reserved for your event, and no subsequent services are guaranteed.
